Have a wonderful weekend - I'm doing gardening, shopping for vintage copper pans, drinking cafe con leche with my darling husband, spending time with precious women on Saturday and of course - kissing the grandkiddos on my home front. What are you doing this weekend? I hope one thing you're doing is seeing how others are celebrating life at The Inspired Room and Julia's Hooked on Houses.

Hello Lylah.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting me today. I truly appreciate your encouragement. Storytelling is a lost art. Since I am the world's worst verbal storyteller (ask my family), I have chosen to attempt writing these wonderful family stories down so, hopefully, my grandkids (if I am so fortunate to have any) will enjoy them.
As I look through your post, I am completely captivated with Betty. She is absolutely beautiful and her eyes just twinkle! Your photos have captured a bit of her spirit. I can just imagine the stories she has to share. Treasure this time... And as the following post suggests... embrace the silence. Listen. And encourage Betty to remember and share her life stories.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Jane (artfully graced)
The bottom picture is great! What a sweet looking woman!
ReplyDeleteBetty has some beautiful eyes! That's the first thing I noticed about her.
ReplyDeleteBon weekend!

Betty is so beautiful! Please tell her I said so ... Learn all you can from her.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week end :)

What a wonderful way to celebrate a day. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Betty!!!! It looks like you gals had a great time going out to eat! Thanks for visiting my daughter's new bedroom (via the blog), Lylah, and for the kind comments you left for her. The birdcage you mentioned (from my header) was a purchase about 15 years from either Marhsalls, TJ Maxx or HomeGoods. I must have picked it up and put it back about 5 times before deciding to purchase it because it was a little warped and damaged...But I did love it, so it came home with me and I've never regretted getting it! Have a wonderful weekend!!... Donna
ReplyDeleteHey, dear Lylah! Give sweet Betty a big birthday hug for me! She reminds me of my mother-in-law. She will be 92 in a couple of days. Would love to see the copper pans! Have a beautiful weekend! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Betty! Maybe i'll see you some day here in Paris. I would be very glad to drink a café with. You look so young.
ReplyDeleteSee you
A bientôt
