My Notebook On One Thing I Love

I'm sure I can never get enough of the beauty and fragrant soothing power of Lavender. The front entrance to our home is graced with French lavender and I keep finding new spots in our garden for more touches of English, Spanish and French lavender which fortunately, for me, it grows well here in the Arizona desert.

Lavender is a hardy perennial native to the Mediterranean and one of the most popular herbs grown. It soothes my soul, clears my mind and puts a smile on my face.

Lavender has a way of soothing the soul. Taken in deeply, it clears the mind of clutter and clarifies what is important. Lavender is a God-connector to me. I think of its beauty and I think of God and how much He must love me to place such a gift across my pathway.

What connects you to God?

  1. I live near the ocean and I find that anytime I am near the beach that is my God-connector (love that word!). Just the peaceful sound of the waves, and the power of the water remind me of God.

You have such a pretty blog! I just love your photography.

  2. Oh Marcy.....get me near the's a top God-connector (glad you like my word)...and then put lavenders in a vase by my side!

Thanks for stopping by and I so appreciate the complement :-)

  3. Hi Lylah,

I love lavender too and have a lot growing around our garden.

  4. My daily visit to La Maison et La Jardin is one treat I never miss. I save it to savor after plowing through all the other emails. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your world with us. My feminine soul is inspired and uplifted by it and I have shared it with all the women I love.
    Thank you, my friend.

  5. incredibly kind [blushing]....thanks...

Just made a lavender oatmeal breakfast bar with sour cream and honey....pretty good, but will add a tad more honey next time...

Thanks for visiting my French home and garden. I'm always delighted when my friends leave a comment. xoxo Lylah
