We purchased our home about eight years ago and the moment I saw this cobalt blue tile counter I felt like crying. It was beautiful. I wanted to cook and bake here.
It's my favorite color. It makes me feel alive. I never, ever tire of this color or this tile.
It's my favorite color. It makes me feel alive. I never, ever tire of this color or this tile.
The only problem is the obvious one.
In the beginning I would scrub and scrub this grout -never able to get it clean. Until one day, I realized that the former owners actually painted over the original brownish colored grout with one of those white paint sticks and that's what began to peel off. Looks gross, doesn't it?
Wanting to attack the grout, I went to Home Depot and under the advice of one of their experts, bought a hand grout grinder cleaner. I worked hard and got as far as this center island. Then I went back, thinking there must be another option and . . .
sure enough. . . .
. . . and so, while I wait for our bathroom faucets and lighting to come in to complete our bathroom redo, I thought I'd randomly start another project today.
So, here I go. Can't wait to share the finished project with you!
